Who we are

Bae HQ Ventures is part of Bae HQ. This policy explains how we use the information you give us when you submit a pitch deck on baehq.vc.

The controller of your information is The BAE HQ Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 14420105), whose registered office is B.04 Clerkenwell Workshops, 27-31 Clerkenwell Close, London, EC1R 0AT.

What we collect

When you submit a deck, we collect:

• your name, email address and LinkedIn URL, and those of any co-founders you add
• your company’s name, website, one-liner, sectors, round, size of raise and region
• your pitch deck
• why you are submitting, the scout who referred you if any, and how you heard about us
• your IP address and basic browser information, used to stop spam and abuse

How we use it

We use your submission to review your deck and, where you ask for it, to give feedback or consider you for investor introductions. We use your email address to confirm we received your deck and to tell you about its status.

We also record the submitting founder in ActiveCampaign, where we keep our contact records. We will not send you marketing emails.

Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in reviewing submissions and supporting founders.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We use these service providers, who handle it only on our behalf:

• Attio, our CRM, which stores your submission and deck
• Vercel, which hosts this site, and Vercel Blob, which holds your deck briefly until it is saved in Attio and then deletes it
• Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a person
• Upstash, which counts submissions from each IP address for a short time to limit abuse
• Resend, which sends our emails to you
• ActiveCampaign, which keeps our contact records
• Yareta, which reads submissions in Attio to help us assess them

International transfers

Some of these providers store or process information outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, we rely on safeguards approved under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

We keep your submission for as long as it stays relevant to Bae HQ Ventures’ work with founders, and we review what we hold from time to time. You can ask us to delete it at any time by emailing team@thebaehq.com.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your information, object to how we use it, or ask us to limit its use. To do any of these, email us at the address above.

If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
